A presence I've named "Sir Ghosty"

A presence I've named "Sir Ghosty"
This will be long, so my apologies for the length. Anyway...

I'm here today to ask for some insight into the entity I've kindly named "Sir Ghosty". It's an amusing name for a presence that has been actively haunting my mother and aunt. I've never ever seen him, but the rest of my family (not including my father) has seen him. Even before he made his presence so readily known to us, I've figured there was something or someone here, and I welcomed them. I would occasionally even talk out loud if I felt they might be listening. I've once or twice even asked them to look over the place in my absence when I go off to class.

Anyway, what's happening to my mother and aunt doesn't amuse them in the least, though they've begun to accept it. They're still terrified. Just last night, like many other nights, my aunt began her attempts at screaming. They were attempts because she couldn't open her mouth to fully scream. Instead, they're always muffled and thus never very loud. Whenever she's in that state, it means she's paralyzed. Normally, this happens a minute or two after she's settled into her bed. My room is next to hers so I can hear her through the wall. I often have to go knock on her bedroom door to chase Sir Ghosty away. As soon as I speak, the paralysis goes away and she can talk again.

The same thing happens to my mother. Her bedroom is on the other side of mine, so my room is sandwiched between my aunt's and my mom's rooms. Unfortunately for her, she can't even get her voice working, she's so terrified, so I never know when she's being haunted. When she's in that state, on those days my father's home, he just ignores her because he thinks she's dreaming. There was a time when she slept in my room with me and was haunt-free for those two weeks. Too bad I can't sleep because she snores so loud, so she had to go back to her own room.

Other than the paralysis, Sir Ghosty has been doing normal pranks too like misplacing items. He's taken two pairs of my mother's eyeglasses and hid them for a week and a half before placing one of them upright in her bag. She carries that bag with her every day, and has emptied it twice to search for her missing glasses. The other pair is still missing. Only recently, a pair of earrings went missing as well.

Two of my cousins who sometimes comes over to hang out saw him in the kitchen. They said it was a very tall man (a little taller than 6ft), and he was a gray silhouette. There were no distinguishable features. As soon as they saw him, they ran into and hid in my room until someone came home. My sister also had a peek of him when she was sleeping in my mother's room (to keep her company while my father's away at work) before she turned away from him, shut her eyes tight, and didn't turn around again until sleep claimed her.

Both my mother and aunt (both Buddhists) believes I repel him like a natural cleansing force or something. They believe my very essence or aura has the power to repel or shield from darker beings. I'm not sure I believe that since it sounds so far fetched and into the realm of fantasy, but the truth is he never stays if I come closer than ten feet from him, thus I've never caught a glimpse of him. If I knock on the door or speak, he's out of there. At first I suspected he was just a normal human ghost or even poltergeist, but now I'm not sure.

Do his actions seem like those of a normal ghost? Do ghosts run from someone? Is he a spirit of the darker kind? What can I do to stop him from doing the things he's doing? Taking items and misplacing them is okay, but paralyzing people is not, especially when it happens to disturb my sleep with my aunt's muffled screams.

Which reminds me... I remember one of the first times my mother had an encounter with him. After she was freed from her paralysis, she called for me and convinced me to sleep in her room with her for the night. As soon as my head hit the pillow, my head felt like it would burst. The headache remained until around noon after I woke up the next morning. I'm not sure what that was about. Did his presence hurt me as much as I hurt him? Is that why he stays away from me? What do you all think? Any similar experiences I can draw answers or clues from?

RE: A presence I've named "Sir Ghosty"
clowangel,

It definitely sounds as though something is going on in your mother's home. There are several things that you can do to know for sure the identity and intent of Sir Ghosty :-).

You can call in certified Paranormal Investigators. We are based in San Jose, CA and offer our services (investigations and cleansing) for free. We bring all of our own equipment as well. You can take a look at our website if you think it may be a fit.

Otherwise, you can call ghost hunters in your area. If they do not offer their services free of charge, do not contact them.

You can also do your own investigation (which I do not normally recommend as there is a lot to know about ghost hunting).

I hope this helped! Please contact us if you have any questions.

Yep, if there isn't a problem, many groups will create one or make you believe there really is something there.
