It sounds like your brother-in-law wanted to say hello and let you know all is well with him. Don't be angry with yourself about not saying all the things you wanted to say because I'm sure just seeing him was such a surprise that you were somewhat speechless. If he came once, it's very possible he'll come again. As you're lying in bed ready to go to sleep, start thinking of all the happy memories you have of him. Once you get going, one happy memory after another will come to you. Just play them out in your mind and drift to sleep. Don't focus on trying to communicate with him, just replay the happy memories in your mind. Doing this may attract him to you again in your dreams. Rosebud you know I to have pondered that thought. I have had some experience with your first sentence. It is not uncommon that spirits would want to try and contact you when your asleep. |

RE: Dream? Or real...so confused
I would like to share my realistic dream. About a month after one of my best friends past away I had this dream it started like this. My best friend and I were driving in his old car with the music blasting. He would just look at me and smile or just nod. He reached from his ash tray and passed me a smoke and we smoked together like we used to do. We pulled up to this place that seemed like a club there were tons of people outside but noone had a face just a black shadow for a face. As we approached the place everyone starts greeting him. Even as we walked in the club people were coming up to him and greeting him like it was his birthday. We grabbed drinks and tapped our glasses together. Then hit the dance floor and started dancing with some chicks like we used to do but the whole time I'm want to talk to him and never actually get a moment to ask him anything cause it's so crowded and everyone it greeting us but still no faces. As we left the club evryone was standing outside talking I could hear all the conversations but still no faces. We walk to the car and get in as we begin driving he again blast the music. I now am anxiuos to say something and so I look at him. He looks at me and I start to say "aren't you dead". I woke up saying the word dead. Very strange but very real. I feel I was invited to some kind of death celebration. I am often visited in my dreams but cannot remember what's said to me or when I try to speak I wake up....

When something physically stimulating occurs around your body, it can quickly call your spirit back to your body, leaving a feeling that resembles a dream. So that would explain why you tell yourself its a dream but it doesn't really feel like one. Like I said in my first reply I think her mind switched things around a bit to make it easier for her to accept. Instead of experiencing it and then waking up I think she woke up and then experienced her brother-in-law visiting. <3Hanna<3 |

RE: Dream? Or real...so confused
I believe he came to you, because you are obviously open to being receptive. I have often had spirits of passed loved ones (for other folks) come to me to relay messages to others. If someone does not necessarily believe in this they may be unable to be reached; however, someone who is open can relay the message...did I make sense?

What if someone that has passed visits you while you sleep? Would it be considered just a dream? The reason I ask is this... My brother in law passed four and a half years ago. Earlier this year, while asleep, I dreamt that I was sitting on the edge of my bed, looking out my bedroom door, through the laundry room, through the kitchen, to the entranceway between the kitchen and dining room. Standing there, was my Brother-in-law. As I sat there totally dumb founded, I watched him walk through the kitchen, through the laundry room, and stand in the doorway of my bedroom. While I watched him walking, open mouthed and in total shock, I was first thinking, but then stated to him "This can't be real...I can't really be seeing you. I know that you are dead!..." When he got to the doorway to my bedroom, he said to me in his midwestern drawl (of which sounded exactly like I was hearing it straight from his mouth!) "Hey Heather" and he smiled and chuckled the way that he always did and said as he nodded in my direction "I like it". Which I knew he was referring to the fact that I had colered my hair bright hot pink (lol). Then he said, "Tell my brother that I said hi". And then the alarm clock to wake my son up went off and I was jolted awake. But I sat immidiatly up and sat at the edge of my bed, and I didn't know what to feel. I wanted to wake my husband up and tell him what happened because I was excited, sad, amazed, shocked, and a few more emotions that I cannot begin to explain. When my husband woke several minutes later and saw me just sitting there he asked me if I was okay. In a flood of tears, I told him what had happened, and told him that it had to be a dream. He was quiet for a minute, and then he said through his tears "If you see him again, you tell him that I said hello...and that I love him and miss him very much". I still see it so vividly, and I get emotional everytime I go through it. My head tells me "you were sleeping, it had to be a dream"...but my heart tells me "you know he was here". Then I'm angry with myself, because there was so much that I wanted to say! I didn't even go get my son up, I let him sleep and laid back down and went back to sleep, hoping that he would come back again. But he didn't. So, tell me...am I nuts?? Did it happen? Or was it a dream? Because it seemed so very real... But, if it was real...I ache to get another chance... Ok,...here is the Christian viewpoint,...since I havent seen that side of things as your answer. My first thought,...and I believe this most sincerely,..is that you were having a very life like dream about someone whom was close to you and that you missed,..deeply enough to enter on a subconscious level and slip into your dreams. As a Christian,...and having studied paranormal events for years,...I believe in what the Bible has to say about death. Based on your faith, and acceptance of Christ as your savior,..you go to heaven or hell. We do not roam around visiting family and friends, moving things around in the cupboards, or rearrange furniture. Things that can do that are demonic in nature,...always. Things at rest stay at rest,....but there is a world of good and bad spirits, elementals, principalities that can cross into our plane of existence,....but usually a door must be open or,...the entity sees a window of opportunity and enters to get you believe something other than what Christ has taught. I am not a religious fanatic,...but I have studied this field for 30 years and tell you this to help you understand better the things I have discovered. You will of course believe what you want. I am giving you a different viewpoint that is based on research and personal experience,...but still,..you will believe what you want. Good luck! |

I do believe that there are spirits all around us. And I don't think that they are ALL evil or bad. I'm sure that they are not all good, but a mixture, just as we have in the physical world. I do not believe in heaven or hell. I don't know why Spirits roam the Earth, whether it be by choice, that they cannot find their way, or if there is something that must be accomplished before they cross over. But, I do believe in them none the less. I am of Pagan faith, so I see things differently. But again, thank you for your input
