I experienced something the other night during an investigation that I have never come across and cannot explain and am wondering if anyone else has seen anything like this.

We did a emf sweep prior to starting our investigation and found the entire area to be within normal limits (0.01 to 0.03 on our detector). But about two hours into the investigation on this empty apartment on a second floor, we found an EMF "field" had appeared on the floor and it was roughly square and was about 8 feet wide by about 30 feet long and pegged out the 2 K-II meters we had and was reading about 3.0 on the 2 EMF detectors we had to a height of about 3 inches off the floor.

No electricity was on in this apartment (verified at breaker box that everything was off and at meter that nothing was being used). Checked the field on the ceiling below and found that it penetrated the ceiling to about 6 inches from the ceiling. It also extended slightly into the kitchen and a hallway off the dining room. Only things on the ceiling were a fan that was off in the living room below and a light in the ceiling that was also off. About 1 hour after we found this "field" it simply dissappated on it own. Upon further investigation it was found to have moved to about a 4 foot square in one of the bedrooms off the dining room of this apartment.

Now, in this apartment, the resident below nightly hears what sounds like both people walking around and children running around in this same area. What we are thinking is this "field" is being caused by what ever is in this house and then when it dissapated, was simply going to bed in the bedroom????

Also during this time our video camera that we were using in this area kept turning off. It was mounted on tripod at the time and one of our investigators was watching it when it turned off 3 times on its own. Every time it turned off, we checked the camera and the battery still had a full charge (5 hour battery at about 75% charged and the memory card in it had plenty of room). This is also a relatively new camera (3 months old)

Thoughs, questions, please let me know. We have been thinking about this now since it happened and cannot find a logical explaination for this appearing/disappearing EMF Field.
