I fell into it when joining other forums, and meeting people who were. The closest I have ever come is a friend's house that has a resident ghost. I have been in burial places and have never seen nor felt anything. It is not that I am not open to anything new, I just haven't had any ghostly encounters yet.

I've always loved paranormal stuff for as long as i can remember, and I've often had strange experiences that I've tried to ignore or explain off, to stop it scaring me. But now I'm older I feel I could handle it better so I'm trying to open myself to it now instead of ignoring it.

When i was 18, my friends and I were driving down this highway to get to a friend of ours who lives in a different town. While driving down this highway the car stalled and we had to pull over. Off in the distance there were a bunch of people where white hoods and i thought it was the KKK. I wasn't very happy. I knew they were in town to give a speech or something and i had planned on going to protest. So i had run off in their direction..(i don't know what i was planning on doing but beatings seemed like a great place to start) only to have them disapear on me. I was craping myself for weeks. I was so close and a big group of people just up and vanished on me...so now im interested. i have about 5 haunts under my belt now and love going out with my paranormal group.

I would say that my personal experience with the Paranormal is what got me interested into this kind of stuff. I usually read books on this kind of stuff rather then post online on forums like this. Mostly I guess is because be the time I come across a forum to post on a lot of stuff as already been post and talked about and I feel weird posting my few on stuff sometimes.

Ever since i realised that there is more to the world that science cannot explain, also i have had some paranormal experiences myself.

Books are full of as much bullshit as truth. Glad to see you here with people who have first hand experience.

I do take the books with a gran of salt, but there are some okay ones out there if you know what to look for.

Grew up with it. We lived in an old Victorian house that was haunted. Back behind the house was an old graveyard. I loved both places, was one of the few who lived in the house who could see and feel ghosts/spirits, and wasn't afraid of them.

A personal brush-in with my step-aunt's father. He'd been dead for about 5 years and I won't forget how I saw him for anything.

But before that, I was so used to hearing about ghosts and others, and lived in a few haunted areas that I always just believed and knew they existed.

I grew up with ghosts too. They've been with our family for over forty years now. So much has happened over the years that the paranormal is rather normal for me and my family.
