RE: How did you become interested in the paranormal
I always had an interest. When I was 3, I saw a man in our window and after what seemed like an eternity to a 3 year old I went running from the basement and told my mom. Mind you my mom would have been 19 at the time was as freaked as I was but, trying to play it off, in the morning when my dad got home from the night shift, they went outside and there were foot prints leading up to the basement window in the snow, but, none leading away and no shoes prints or anything. they could not explain it. Not long after I told my mom I had talked to my Aunt....but, she died before I was born and NO ONE talked about her. I had no idea who she was. Yet, I gave my mom a message that she was ok, and everything was fine. She had committed suicide before I was born. When I was older we lived in an old one room school house that we were renovating into a house, and in the dead middle of winter we would smell lilacs so strong you would have thought we had a lilac bush in the living room in full bloom....for some reason at our house the paranormal was normal. I was never scared it was just a part of life. It was talked about openly.

RE: How did you become interested in the paranormal
Interesting topic. Smile

Well, I cannot remember not being aware of being 'different' and feeling spirits. I used to talk to a male spirit in my grandmother's library; I still remember him (both she and my great-grandmother were psychic). My mother always told me it was my imagination...I grew up in the 'Bible-Belt' area.

But when both my daughter and son repeatedly pointed spirits they saw to me, I never questioned it to imagination again. When things began happening and other's saw it as well...I began writing about my experiences.

RE: How did you become interested in the paranormal
I always have been. Gew up in a very open minded family, our house was a special place. Followed my path and am a practicing witch. Many experiences and nothing suprises me anymore. There is a castle near where i live that has a lot of activity, theres a church on site with an underground bit under the church with lead coffins in, saw and heard crying and lights down there while alone. made me feel so sad. But in the castle there is something that i cannot explain. will explain another time because im really worried you will all think im mad!

RE: How did you become interested in the paranormal
Being around it since birth, my nannie was a native of Africa, then New Orleans before my father hired her to help take care of me and help mom around the house, which was not small. So I got the different superstitions from the South, from Africa, a mixture of the religions and the spirits. I would ask her questions and she said "when you can control wwhat you know and what you do with it". Getting into college and grad. school, was getting anything out of her if she didn't want to tell you. She lived to be around her mid 90s and that is only a guess, no records to prove her DOB. She finally decided to live in the guest house after she got up in years, but mom and dad always though of her as family. She passed away in her sleep, no disease had taken her,her spirit was strong till the end. I saw her that night and she said she was tired and needed to go back to her home country, so I guess, in spirit , she did. what she left , she left all for me. Mom did not allow what she had left, a huge black trunk, in the house and frankly dad was scared of what might be inside but "Nannie"left me a key and what wonders that old trunk did have.

I became interested with the paranormal when i found out about death and ghost hauntings long ago when i was a kid.
I started reading and researching things back when i was 12 and now i am still doing it and watching video clips, listening to EVPs and finding pictures. I don't play with ouija boards(something i found out is bad when it comes to the paranormal and all(seeing as i am a a partial scary cat and all lol).) but i do like to recorde things and take pictures to see if i can catch weird sighting or noises, voices.
