My great grandmother lived in the second floor of the house where my mother grew up. Mother was always very connected to her grandmother. When my great grandmother died for years they heard something fall down and roll across the floor upstairs, when they went up to investigate, they never found anything on the floor, and soon the sound would come again. But after a while the strange sounds vanished. My mother told me that. I always felt a presence as a little girl in the second floor of my grandparents house. It might be that I was influenced by my mother's story but I liked to think it was my great grandmother watching over the family. Later my mother got into contact with her Spiritual helpers, and she is rather sure that one of them is my great grandmother, so perhaps the old woman is still watching over her grand daughter and perhaps me to. I hope so, for she died many years before I was born, but we where born on the same date and I would have loved to have met her. But perhaps I have met her Spirit.

There is another part of this story. When my mother was pregnant with me, the date she was due was the 29 of February. My grandmother however insisted that she would give birth to a little girl on the 23 of February, the birth day of my great grandmother, and her word was true. Perhaps Great Grandmother Alvilde had a hand in me being born on her birth day.

That's a cute story. It is nice to have a Great Grand Mother watching over you. Mine died long before I was born and I never knew her.
