Odd dreams.
I have these dreams where I think I am awake and the room looks like it does when I am awake, and I hear voices, and I can't move or speak during these dreams.

RE: Odd dreams.
these dreams usually appear when you actually sleep not daydreaming and are cause by two things as far as I know: odd experiences in the previous days or certain fears you keep thinking about.

for example i had 2 strokes and i'm just 19 of age while i was asleep:
1. i felt like i was awake and i was throwing the pillow up and let it come down softly over me and i had the sensation of someone laughing and shaking me. and there was nothing i could do but sense fear and panic. for 2 hours i couldn't exactly distinguish dream from reality until i was so panicked i had a heart attack. (i always get goosebumps when i talk or write about this)
2.a few nights ago i don't remember what i was thinking of when before i fall asleep but i know i was dreaming until i couldn't rise my head up and look into the room i could only see the ceiling, i felt numerous hits in my chest and stomach and was shaking and trembling like mad, i was slowly closing my eyes at the same time i felt like i was falling asleep again.. like dying.. i thought it felt like being shot.. and of course another stroke ... the doc said the heart stopped 10 secs this time not just 5 like the first time.
all this experiences i had were at my ex girlfriends apartment (probably because there is too much paranormal activity there... too much card reading and too much belief in spirits... her grandma is obsessed the place has some sort of hunting.. but i am positive that she is wrong).
that's about all i can think of now relating to your post shedevil.

RE: Odd dreams.
About 24 years ago I lived in a house that we all new was haunted. I would wake up in the middle of the night feeling someone's hand on my side. The entire time I felt this sensation I couldn't move anything but my eyes, nor could I speak. As soon as the pressure went away, things would be back to normal. This happened quite often while I lived there. When I moved away the occurrences stopped for about two weeks. They would always come back though. Had a preacher pray for me and haven't felt it again since. Some say maybe it was an incubus. Some say I am crazy.

RE: Odd dreams.
I don't think your crazy Tinarinkus or anyone else who has these dreams(if you want to think of them as such...I don't think they are dreams so much) I read a great deal about dreams when i was younger because i have had the same nightmere since i was 3. There is a name for what you all go thru but i can't remember what it it. Let me do some exploring thru my books to see if i can find it and i will let you all know.

RE: Odd dreams.
I'm responding to all the above. These dreams are dreams they are put into hallucinatory catagories called hypnagogic and hypnopompic. I'm what they refer to as a natural lucid dreamer. Uncontrolled dream control. They can be very scary and yes sometimes cause death. I also have narcolepsey so I have a lot of lucid dreams daily. I'll post a few in new threads just for your amusement. Granted I welcome the darker side of spirituallity, they can be disturbing.

RE: Odd dreams.
Ah, the complicated and yet simple process of dreaming that throws us into the unknown and brings us to the doorstep of the unknowable. When we dream we activate portions of our luminous being that normally lay dormant in every-day awareness. The dreaming/astral body is controlled by the personal force called Will, it stems from the mid-section right below the sternum on men, and on a specific point in the womb for women. Women have a natural tendency to dream and have a naturally better control over lucid dreaming than men, however that control can usually only take them so far, whilist men are known to shoot off into the unknown with little or no control but go to the confines of human conciousness due to their slightly abberant nature.
A myriad of entities are at large in this cosmos and can be experienced directly through Dreaming.
As for tall grey figures, that could be anything, but if you experience it while in your body, it could be your own dreaming body (the Other) looking at you as you look at it.

I think that I made the right choice to join this forum site.

RE: Odd dreams.
Ok She Devil from what you posted I don't think you're dreaming at all. You are awake but more aware of non-physical things going on. The reason you can't move or speak is that your body is still asleep. It's a phenomena called Sleep Paralasys. What do the voices say?
