The White light
I first want to say I really appreciate this site. I have learned so much in the few weeks I have been here, but I am also still hesitant to put up some of my experiences on here(Some of them still don't make sense to me let alone others). This particular experience has been in the back of my mind for a long time and I can't make sense of it. This has happened 3 times in my entire life. Last time it happened was about 4 yrs ago. I was sitting with my women watching a movie in the dark when I looked to my right and saw this light that was so bright and white that I have to close my eyes like someone flashed the sun in my face. Whenever I have seen this light, Well the first time, I was alone. The other 2 times I was in a dark room with my women watching t.v. or just relaxing but I am the only one that sees it. And the room is always dark. when I do see it I have to wash my eyes out with water because my eyes are still burning and I can still see it's brightness. It is like a star that doesn't emit light but is light within itself(If that makes any sense). It is not scary but the most beautiful thing you will ever see very very bright. It's almost like I can see into it for a second but It disappears as soon as I notice it. Is there anyone here who can explain what this is? Or does anyone have experience with This Light that I keep hearing about? Somebody put my mind at ease...

RE: The White light
From the way you describe the light it reminds me of the people who have NDE (near death experiences) they describe the light as being beautiful. Maybe someone from the other side is trying to communicate with you? Have you had any loved ones pass around the times when you see the light? Is there any other sensation that happen when you see the light?

Also (yup my caution side) you should go see a Dr. just in case. Sometimes brain tumors can cause hallucinations. Better be safe than sorry ya know. Do you have migraines? When you do have headaches (everyone does) do they last for hours, days? When and if you take meds (just over the counter stuff) does it help or not at all effective?

I have had a few of my best friends that have passed throughout the years some I grew up with some I have known for a minimum of 10 yrs. Last year I wanted to make 100% sure that I wasn't going crazy or haven't been crazy. I have seen things all my life, as well as all my siblings but we all have different reactions to what we see. My reaction was to pretend like I didn't see anything. I took the oppurtunity to get checked up since I had a job that provided the coverage and I wanted to make sure that what I have been seeing since childhood was not some disorder, since I had no control over when I would hear or see these strange Phenomenons. I took all kinds of MRI's, X-rays, physicals, and also got many second opinions after the results to be sure. The very last doctor that gave me a MRI told me not to let anybody else mess with my head because it was perfectly fine. I have began meditating to try to gain some control.

RE: The White light
Is the meditation helping?

Finding the right place to meditate is important. I use to use candles and incense to help a well, I dont get a chance now adays due to so many kids running around. Sometimes I would listen to nature music.. whale songs to be specific.

I also have a child and find it hard to find time. I have looked up a few methods for meditating on the go and also try to meditate late at night. On the weekends is when I can get a full session in early in the morning. Instrumentals help also. I usually go with Kenny G or Carlos Santana. The meditation feels like I have been refreshed and my energy rejuvenated. My Chakras go crazy and I can feel the electric vibes circling where my third eye would be. Since meditating I seem to see and hear things more frequently but I am less fearful and more accepting. Wiser...

RE: The White light
Honestly do not think it is anything paranormal..far more likely to be a condition of the eye itself, or a link between the neurons of the brain and your eye....kind of like creating an occasional strange, but beautiful,...."short-circuit".
One of my degrees is in Psychology,..and although not a doctor,..I have read of such things over the years,...and please do not think of it as a paranormal experience,....but an abnormal one for sure!
